Great cultures don’t happen by chance—they’re shaped by leaders who listen, adapt, and lead with intent. That’s the kind of leadership Kiran brings to the table. Grounded in empathy, fueled by deep HR expertise, and driven by a clear sense of purpose, his journey has been less about titles and more about transformation.

In this edition of our Meet Your Leaders series, we dive into a candid conversation with Kiran on all things leadership, culture, and what it really means to put people first in today’s evolving workplace.

If someone were to look at your career from the outside, they might see a linear rise to leadership. But what’s a lesser-known turning point or experience that truly shaped who you are today as a CHRO?

What worked for me was the not losing touch with my  core competencies that lie in deep subject matter expertise and the ability to build and maintain strong networks.

How would you describe your leadership style in one sentence — and what shaped it most?

Supplementing from the above response, I am advocate and follower of servant leadership by coaching instead of commanding, enabling and supporting team success through immense trust and sharing a focused purpose.

How do you align HR strategy with overall business goals, especially in fast-paced or transformative environments?

To be a strategic enabler, expecting and anticipating dynamic changes, building adaptive talent systems and a high performance work culture.

What’s one people-first initiative or cultural shift you’ve led that you’re especially proud of?

Social referrals, this is most closest to my heart and stands out as something that is iconic in my professional career. This basically allows and enables sourcing not just from your employees but from huge followership you may have on your social media handles.

What’s a piece of advice or mantra you live by as a leader and as a person?

AIM : Attitude Intent and Motivation. This has been my professional aim and personal as well and in todays world we all thrive in an integrated professional life that crosses paths with personal life.

Outside of work, what keeps you grounded or brings you joy? Any hobbies or routines that help you

Badminton and baking is only way I de-stress and get my energy back.

Words you live by:
“I never lose, I only learn !!!”

More than titles or milestones, Kiran’s leadership is about building something meaningful—with people at the center. At Digile, he’s laying the groundwork for an HR function that’s agile, inclusive, and deeply aligned with our business vision. The future of work at Digile is human—and Kiran is helping lead the way.
