Digile helped Lebuhraya Borneo Utara (LBU), the project delivery partner for the Pan Borneo Highway Sabah, modernize road operations and asset management through an integrated digital platform. By implementing Bentley technologies, BIM workflows, and a Common Data Environment (CDE), Digile enabled smarter project delivery, improved asset lifecycle management, and real-time operational visibility across one of Malaysia’s largest infrastructure projects.
LBU was responsible for managing the implementation and long-term operations of Phase 1 of the Pan Borneo Highway Sabah, a complex infrastructure project spanning over 700 kilometers. Coordinating design, construction, quality assurance, safety, and asset information across multiple stakeholders required a connected and scalable digital approach.
The organization needed a centralized platform to integrate project information, support BIM adoption, improve collaboration, and provide real-time visibility into project performance while meeting strict delivery timelines and preparing for long-term operations and maintenance.
Digile implemented an integrated digital project and asset management solution built on Bentley technologies. The platform connected design, construction, operations, and asset information through a Common Data Environment, enabling seamless collaboration and informed decision-making throughout the project lifecycle.
The solution also introduced BIM-enabled workflows, customized operational dashboards, and asset lifecycle management capabilities, providing LBU with a digital foundation for efficient highway operations and maintenance.
The digital platform transformed how LBU managed highway operations by connecting project information, asset data, and operational insights into a single intelligent ecosystem. This enabled faster decision-making, improved collaboration, and more efficient management of highway assets throughout their lifecycle.
By combining BIM, digital engineering, and connected asset management, Digile helped Lebuhraya Borneo Utara build a future-ready highway management ecosystem that continues to optimize operations, maintenance, and asset performance across one of Malaysia’s most significant infrastructure projects.
