Fostering DevSecOps Transformation in the Education Sector

Overview

Digile helped Lebuhraya Borneo Utara (LBU), the project delivery partner for the Pan Borneo Highway Sabah, modernize road operations and asset management through an integrated digital platform. By implementing Bentley technologies, BIM workflows, and a Common Data Environment (CDE), Digile enabled smarter project delivery, improved asset lifecycle management, and real-time operational visibility across one of Malaysia’s largest infrastructure projects.

As the organization expanded its digital offerings, the absence of an enterprise-wide DevSecOps roadmap became a significant barrier to agility. Development teams followed inconsistent engineering practices, manual release processes, and fragmented workflows, making it difficult to deliver applications quickly while maintaining quality and security.

Without a standardized operating model, collaboration between development, operations, and security teams remained limited. The organization required a comprehensive DevSecOps transformation to establish governance, automate software delivery, embed security throughout the development lifecycle, and create a scalable framework capable of supporting future business growth.

Digile delivered a strategic DevSecOps transformation that began with a comprehensive maturity assessment to evaluate existing capabilities, identify operational gaps, and define a roadmap aligned with business objectives.

Based on the assessment, we established a scalable operating model that standardized development, security, and deployment practices while introducing automation across the software delivery lifecycle.

The solution included:

The transformation established a scalable DevSecOps foundation that improved software delivery, security, and operational efficiency across the organization.

  • Standardized enterprise-wide DevSecOps practices
  • 100% governance framework established across pilot teams
  • Automated CI/CD pipelines streamlined software delivery
  • Reduced manual build and deployment effort
  • Improved release quality and deployment consistency
  • Security integrated throughout the software development lifecycle
  • Enhanced collaboration across development, operations, and security teams
  • Metrics-driven monitoring enabled continuous improvement
